They are sound effects that happen that cause zombies to be attracted to the source of the gunshot from a radius around where it occurred. The gunshots and airplanes are a pre-made system or something. npc survivors aren't implemented in the game yet. The game plays random sounds and spawns random bodies to give you the feeling that you're not alone. In other words the game developers are teasing you for now.I used to use JD-core, but when Project Zomboid moved to 41.51 that stopped working for me. dotPeek is written for .NET code, so it won't work for PZ since PZ is written in java. Its very plausible that a character in a post apocalyptic world would want to end their own life. In fact there is lots of story scenes in the game where exactly this has happened. I have even come across murder/suicide scenes in the game. I think being able to shoot yourself is a plausible technique for 2 reasons.
